1998年从中国科技大学应用化学系学士毕业,2004年在耶鲁大学取得博士学位,之后在康乃尔大学从事博士后研究。2006年起在南洋理工大学工作,任南洋理工大学化学与生物化学系副教授。现任南京工业大学教授。近年来在纳米自组装等领域业绩斐然。


近两年主要项目:

1、“Developing Nanoscale Laser for Imaging and Sensing”, Public Sector Research Funding (PSF) Grant, A*Star SERC, as PI, 06 Feb 2012 to 05 Feb 2015, $888,048.

2、“Developing structural controlled polymer nanocomposites with simultaneous improvements in electrical conductivity and mechanical strength”, Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC), A*Star program, as the Co-PI (1 Co-PI and 1 PI), 1 Oct 2010 – 30 Sep 2012, awarded, $226,005 out of total $546,000.

3. “Novel Fano-Type and Asymmetric Metallic Nanostructures for Non-Intrusive In Vivo Imaging and Monitoring”, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star), Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC), Integrated Nano-Photo-Bio Interface Thematic Strategic Research Programme, as Co-PI (8 Co-PI’s and 2 collaborators), 1 May 2010 – 30 Apr 2013, awarded, $186,630 out of total $1,294,285.

4. “Frontiers in Magnetic Recording Research: Vision for 10 Terabits per square inch”, National Research Foundation of Singapore (NRF), as Co-PI (6 Co-PI’s and 15 collaborators), 1 Feb 2010 – 31 Jan 2015, awarded, $539,500 (including 1 Graduate Research Scholarship) out of total $10,000,000.


5. “Structural Engineering of Nanohybrid Systems for Light-Induced Drug Release”, MOE AcRF Tier II grant, as sole PI, 1 Nov 2009 – 31 Oct 2012, awarded, total $1,202,520 and 2 Graduate Research Scholarships.


6. “Photosynthetic Nanoparticles as Functional Models for Photosystem II”, MOE AcRF Tier II grant, as sole PI, 1 Dec 2007 – 30 Nov 2010, awarded, total $647,750 and 1 Graduate Research Scholarship.

7、 “Synthesis of Photosynthetic Nanoparticles as Functional Models for Photosystem II”, NTU Start-Up Grant,

as sole PI, 1 Mar 2007 to 31 Mar 2016, total $458,800
